Thermoplastics:           

Thermoplastics are linear polymers having molecules in the shape of long chain which are not interconnected. These consists of long molecular chains entangles with one another but are not bonded together. The inherent plasticity increases with increase in temperature. They do not undergo chemical change in the moulding operations. When heated, they soften and on  cooling, they harden. They retain the shape given to them upon heating. The scrap of thermoplastic resins can be remolded and reworked.
